Pesimo - Edwin Higuchi Fernández
PÉSIMO is one of the fundamental artists of Peruvian urban art, working on the walls of his city since 1998, currently his work is recognized nationally and internationally. In 2001 he studied at the National School of Fine Arts and was also one of the first urban art artists to enter the Peruvian gallery circuit.
This foray into the gallery and his constant work earned him participation in various festivals and events abroad in countries such as France, Spain, Germany, Holland, Austria, Japan, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Colombia, Mexico and the US, positioning himself as an important reference of Latin American urban art.
His Peruvian-Japanese origins and his constant relationship and interaction with the street and everything that exists in it, have strongly influenced his work, his mural interventions of a figurative nature, show us characters from a world where the everyday is reconciled with the dreamlike. .
PÉSIMO seems to develop his own mythology, transforming unseen beings into deities that cohabit harmoniously with nature.
